Welcome to Wally Wise Guy's Website
As you can see, I'm a turtle and I like to teach children and adults how to Shelter-In-Place. Whenever there is danger,
I quickly go inside my shell. By 'Sheltering-In-Place', you can be safe too.
To be safe during an emergency, please follow the steps below:
1. GO INSIDE IMMEDIATELY
2. CLOSE UP - Close all doors, windows, etc.
3. STAY INFORMED
Additional tips for Sheltering in Place:
- Stay inside unless you are told you can leave.
- Turn off heating, cooling or ventilation systems. Close the fireplace damper.
- If your eyes, nose or throat become irritated, protect your breathing by covering your month with a damp cloth, taking frequent shallow breaths and staying calm.
- It you are in a vehicle, close windows and turn off air systems.
If Evacuation is ordered by Authorities:
- Stay calm.
- Gather what you and your family will need. Take such essential items as medicine, baby supplies, driver’s license, and checkbook.
- Don’t forget about your pets.
- Keep car windows and air vents closed.
- Police officers along route will direct you.
If an emergency occurs during school hours, students will be cared for and sheltered in the schools until the emergency is over.
