The murder of Tsar Nicholas II along with
his entire family in July 1918 shocked the world and brought an end to a
Russian Dynasty. Much speculation has focused around the death of the last
Russian tsar and whether or not any of his descendants survived the Russian
Revolution.
Professor Brady Hutchison will explore
this topic in a special lecture, “The Fall of the Romanovs: murder, myth and
the twilight of Imperial Russia” at Deer Park Public Library. Professor
Hutchison, a History Instructor at Alvin Community College, will present his
program at 11 AM on Friday, July 14, 2017, in the library’s meeting room.
This presentation is the
latest installment in the library’s Featured Friday series. These monthly
programs offer a variety of lectures, movies and special programs of cultural,
historical and local interest.
Refreshments will be
provided by the Friends of the Deer Park Public Library. No registration is
required, and all are welcome to attend. There is no admission fee. The library
is located at 3009 Center St., Deer Park, TX 77536.
