The Deer Park Police Department’s 17th Annual Peace Officers Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 15 at 4PM and Chief Gregory L. Grigg invites you to attend.
U.S. Congressman Brian Babin will be the guest speaker for the event, to be held at the Municipal Court and Theatre Building at 1302 Center Street.
“During this important event, we will honor those in law enforcement who, while in the line of duty, lost their lives and paid the highest price for our safety,” Chief Grigg said. “This event is in recognition of National Police Week, May 14 – 20, 2017.”
Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the calendar week in which May 15th falls as National Police Week.
