[ARCHIVED] Roscoe Review

Roscoe Review

Spring is finally in the air! With a few warmer days this past week it gets us excited here at the Parks and Recreation Department to Live & Play in this wonderful city. The Roscoe Review is here to help.

Coming on March 28 we have the 46th Annual Easter “Eggstravaganza” and our annual Pooch Hunt. The Easter “Eggstravaganza” festivities start at 9 a.m. in Dow Park and the Pooch Hunt will be at 2 p.m. at the Ella and Friends Dog Park on 13th Street.

We are still looking for vendors to participate in Pet Adventure Day and the 2K9 Fun Run. If you are interested contact Kristen Villalovos with the Parks and Recreation Department.

The Art Park Player’s are in full swing for the spring! They are preparing for the “Totally Texas Country Review,” “Puttin’ on the Ritz, Celebrating 35 years,” and “Always Patsy Cline.” Tickets for all of these performances are available through the Art Park Player’s Box Office at 281-794-2448.

If you are 55 and over and looking for a great place to socialize then visit the Maxwell Center. They have lots of great groups to join such as the Quilting Class and the Knitting and Crochet group that will start up on April 2.

Last but not least, summer is just around the corner and the Aquatics Division is looking to fill summer Aquatics positions. These positions range from lifeguards and swim aides to Pool Managers. Don’t miss a great opportunity to bring quality of life to your city.
