[ARCHIVED] Summer Concerts Kick Off

Concerts in the Park

On Friday, May 30th join the Deer Park Parks and Recreation Department for the Summer Concert Series Kick Off in Dow Park. Ryan Harris and the Killin’ Time Band will open the show at 6 p.m. to set the stage for Country Singer/Songwriter Adam Hood at 7 p.m.

Ryan Harris and the Killin’ Time band are dynamic country music performers. With scores of covers and original songs they have earned the reputation of one of top local country music billings in the Houston area. Their new song, “3 Chords” just reached number 1 on Music Road Radio’s show, Iceman’s New Country Artist Countdown.

Adam Hood has written and performed with some of country music’s top acts over the year and is now enjoying the fruits of his labor with his own band. Over the past few years Adam has been recognized as one of “12 musical acts to look for” by the Boston Globe, won the Lonestar Music Award for Singer/Songwriter/Folk Album of the year in 2012, and he was recognized in four other categories by the Lonestar Music Awards including “Best Male Vocalist.”

With award winning talent, games, door prizes, and Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches for the first 100 people, this will be a night you won’t want to miss.
