The city provides curbside collection of regular household rubbish twice weekly. All trash must be placed in a bag and put out at the curbside by 8 AM on the regularly scheduled pickup day. Collection for curbside household waste is on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday is reserved for heavy trash pickup. View the trash collection map to see which days trash is picked up in your neighborhood, located on the Sanitation Department's website.
We do not pick up trash that is inside a trashcan of any type. If you want to discard an old trash can, be sure to tape a sign to it that states "Discard Trash Can."
