If you need help with basic computer skills or would like to learn to use Microsoft programs such as Word or Excel, join us on Thursday evenings in August between 5 and 8 p.m. for tutorial sessions at the Deer Park Public Library. These free sessions last an hour. To register or for questions, please call the library at 281-478-7208 or email library@deerparktx.org..
The library also offers a class in Python, a popular general purpose programming language with uses in many fields, including software and web development, graphics, robotics and data analyses. You'll learn the basics of programming (useful for most any language) and create programs on your own computer. This class meets online on Mondays from 10 to 11 a.m. To register, please contact the library.
You may also be interested in trying free (if you have a library card), self-paced classes on the library website, deerparktx.gov/library.. Hover your mouse over E-Library and choose either Gale Courses or Learning Express Library (scroll down to computer skills center).
