Hurricane Season takes place each year from June 1 through September 30 – are you and your family prepared, especially in light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) response? If you haven’t prepared yet, the City has gathered several important resources to help residents prepare themselves, their families and their homes. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) response is ongoing, we are providing links to resources that address both hurricane preparedness and COVID safety.
During Hurricane Preparedness Week, we posted links to several information sources with information about how to create emergency plans, stock emergency kits and go-bags, help children or senior family members prepare for disasters and more.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have created several resources that combine hurricane preparedness with considerations regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) response.

With Hurricane Season officially underway, the Department of Homeland Security’s Ready.gov page dedicated to Hurricane Season has also been updated with COVID-related content.
