As important as bees are for our food chain and environment, their biology, social characteristics and foraging practices in our backyards and beyond are fascinating stories in their own right. Bees also face their own challenges from a variety of factors. Learn about bees, honey, and beekeeping from Harrison Rogers, a Certified Texas Master Beekeeper and Vice President of Harris County Beekeepers Association, at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 24th at the Deer Park Public Library.
This presentation is the latest installment in the library’s Featured Friday series. These monthly programs offer a variety of lectures and special programs of cultural, historical and local interest.
Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Deer Park Public Library. No registration is required and all are welcome to attend. There is no admission fee. The Library is located at 3009 Center St., Deer Park, TX 77536. For more information, call the library at 281-478-7208.
