Parks and Recreation

The goal of the Parks and Recreation department is to ensure a high quality of life for its residents through our commitment to superior public spaces and enriching recreation activities. We maintain 19 parks for our residents which include playgrounds, walking trails, and picnic areas. Our Olympic sized city pool remains open during the summer and features water slides and an adjacent baby pool.

The Recreation department provides year round programming for residents of all ages. Summers in Deer Park are full of camps and classes to keep children active during their break from school. During the academic year, we provide after school opportunities such as dance and karate to keep our young residents active. For our older residents we offer a variety of senior services based around our Maxwell Center. Adult programming includes fitness classes and our softball league.
